ABOUT US
The CAG Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization, formed with the purpose of supporting organizations that uplift, educate, and improve the lives of area young people! The foundation was created by City Auto Glass, which was purchased by Safelite in 2024.
Now, The CAG Foundation raises money by producing fundraising events that include….The Safelite Walleye Classic, the Safelite Vermilion Open golf scramble, the new Safelite Legacy Challenge fall walleye tournament, and a new fall golf tournament.
All events take place on Lake Vermilion, out of Fortune Bay Resort Casino.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Beginning in 2006, our first tournament had 34 boats competing for a small grand prize, but bragging rights in what would eventually become one of Minnesota’s largest single-day walleye tournaments!
In 2025, the Safelite Walleye Classic on Lake Vermilion will have a full-field of 125 boats, all fishing to win part of more than $50,000 in cash and prizes, including $17,000 to the winning team!
Bragging rights still matter, and if you win the Safelite Walleye Classic, you have them!
HOW IT GETS DONE
‘Nothing Happens Until Someone Acts’…..true in all walks of life, and our events are no different! Without our CAG Foundation board of directors, our partners who provide financial support, our many volunteers, and most importantly, our anglers and golfers that participate each year, there would be no resources to donate. So, it can’t be said enough…
