ABOUT US

The City Auto Glass Walleye Classic happens each year on the Saturday following the walleye opener, on one of Minnesota’s best walleye lakes, and gives a pair of lucky anglers the chance to win $17,000 in one day, just for catching some fish!

WHERE IT ALL STARTED

The City Auto Glass Walleye Classic began back in 2006 on Lake Vermilion,
with 34 boats competing for the cash prize of $3,400 to the winners.

Now heading into our 20th year in 2025, our tournament continues to grow, with anglers from around Minnesota and the upper Midwest competing to take home the guaranteed grand prize of $17,000, plus the honor of being the champions of one of the largest walleye tournaments in Minnesota! In all, we award more than $50,000 in cash, prizes and merchandise each year.

HOW IT GETS DONE

The City Auto Glass Walleye Classic is produced by The CAG Foundation. The Tournament Director is Jamie Lindseth and Tournament Chair is Red Lowen.

In addition we rely on the help of numerous volunteers, including area Kiwanis Club, Rock Ridge High School Baseball Teams, plus friends, family, and our business partners.

We thank you all, and couldn’t operate the tourney without you!

PROUD TO SUPPORT OTHERS!

Our two annual fishing tournaments, The City Auto Glass Walleye Classic, and The City Auto
Glass Bass Classic, are produced by The CAG Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization. Each
year we donate tens of thousands of dollars to local organizations that act to uplift, educate,
and improve the lives of area youth!

Included in the organizations we support are the Boys & Girls Club, the Kiwanis Club, and the
Lions Club, along with other local youth camps, clubs, and athletic teams.

Our foundation strives to produce successful and quality fishing tournaments, and we are
blessed to help support hard-working and success-seeking young people!
